Happy Easter...

Wishing you all a

HAPPY

EASTER!

This last photo features a Swedish Easter tradition called "påskris". Before I made it, I was trying to explain it to Ross. But I didn't know the English for it. So I got my big Swedish-English/English-Swedish dictionary out. Guess if we started laughing when it was described as "twigs with coloured feathers in, done for Easter"!! LOL! No wonder I didn't know what it was called...it obviously doesn't exist in English...

I think you must be right Anso, I'm as English as they come, but grew up elsewhere in Europe and always make an 'Easter tree' of spring branches and hanging wooden eggs that I painted about a century ago. Visitors are ALWAYS surprised by it! HAppy Easter
